In order to increase user satisfaction and strengthen BYD's position in the German market, we have compiled the following points for your review:
1. Corporate Processes and Transparency
Sales and Delivery: Shortening vehicle delivery and waiting times, and managing these sales processes more transparently.
2. Software and OTA (Over-the-Air) Updates
Providing regular, innovative, and stable OTA updates.
Announcing upcoming OTA update schedules and release notes via official social media channels in advance (like BYD Austria on their homepage)
Reviewing and correcting German translation errors on the multimedia screen and the BYD App.
Ensuring software stability to prevent screen distortion or layout disruption when switching menus in split-screen mode.
Offering new and diverse instrument cluster and infotainment themes.
3. Driving Dynamics and Energy Management
Regenerative Braking: Increasing regenerative braking increments, adding a "zero regeneration" option, adaptive regeneration, and implementing a "single-pedal" driving mode.
Charge Management: Enabling a charge limiting feature that allows users to set a desired target battery percentage (%) to stop charging.
4. Comfort and Smart Access Features
Hands-Free Access: Enabling automatic door unlocking when approaching the vehicle with the key or a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, and automatic locking when moving away.
Smart Trunk: Enabling the trunk lid to open automatically when standing next to it with the key for a short duration.
Digital Key (NFC & Bluetooth): Activating the digital key feature for NFC-supported Android phones and standardizing Bluetooth app controls for iPhone
Remote App Control: Allowing users to activate the battery warmer (for all models) and control forward/reverse vehicle movements remotely via the BYD mobile application (similar to the features available in the Chinese market).
5. Safety, Camera, and Hardware Demands
Sentry Mode: Integrating a Sentry Mode for security purposes, allowing users to access and record live footage from the vehicle's cameras via the BYD App.
Parking and Sensor Systems: Enabling the Automatic Parking Assist (APA) feature. Activating all ultrasonic sensors on the front bumper and license plate holders to provide both visual and audible warnings on the screen when approaching obstacles from the front (resolving the current safety vulnerability).
Blind Spot / Turn Signal Integration: Automatically activating the left/right side cameras when the turn signal is engaged, displaying the live camera feed on either the instrument cluster or the infotainment screen.
6. Navigation and Head-Up Display (HUD)
Projecting navigation directions onto the Head-Up Display (HUD) for vehicles equipped with this feature.
Upgrading the trip computer to display detailed consumption data based on the last 100 km (instead of the current 50 km limit) and enabling access to this data via the mobile application.
7. After-Sales Services, Spare Parts, and Maintenance
Urgently addressing the negative feedback shared on social media regarding service experiences by enhancing the technical competency and service quality of BYD service centers.
(several can't and/or don't know how to solve simple suspension,
shock absorbers - best example: I'm watiing for more than 5 months!
Reducing the delivery and waiting times for spare parts to reasonable levels.
Offering retrofits for missing or optional equipment at reasonable and affordable prices through authorized service centers.
We kindly request you to consider these collective demands, which will greatly enhance the brand loyalty and satisfaction of BYD owners in Germany and/or in Europe
