To keep the power battery in optimal conditions, it should be fully charged and discharged regularly (once every 6 months or 72,000 km, whichever comes first) for self-calibration. It is is a HV battery self-study process.
It is recommended that clients could do power battery pack capacity test and calibration at home with a charging port. Otherwise, this maintenance could also be conducted by dealer workshops. For dealers and clients, following steps should be strictly conducted.
Step1: Charge the vehicle by AC charger until the SOC(State of Charge) is 100%
Step2: Discharge high voltage battery until the SOC is around 5%. (Make discharge conditions similar to the customer's scenario.)
Step3: Park the vehicle near AC charger and continue to discharge to 0%.
Step4: Charge the vehicle until the SOC is 100%
