Exactly, I was told that twice already in BYD's live chat.
Is your hardware version V02.E03.00.39.03 by the way? I tried the same today in the support chat of the application and the answer I got was pretty generic ("Based on your VIN, you are on the latest version, we don't have official scheduled dates for new updates"). I got by BYD Seal U Dm-i Comfort 3 weeks ago from the distributor and I am wondering if the hardware versions matter.

I doubt that we will receive real new features or a new update to V3.x in the feature as the hardware version V02.E03.00.39.03 is the first-generation global e-Platform 3.0 infotainment and cockpit hardware architecture which on the software side is powered by DiLink 4.0 (4G) intelligent cockpit software.
The newer platform is the e-Platform 3.0 Evo / DiLink 5.0 (5G) architecture which by my knowledge is used on Sealion 7 and Atto 3 Evo models.
If the facelift version of the BYD Seal U DM-I uses this platform as well I am not able to say but I would suppose that it would make sense to lift all current models to that platform.
Maybe it is a strategic decision because I heard that they use Google Applications within a sandbox to offer more applications that BYD currently has on their own shop.
By the way: when did we switch to englisch? Did I miss that?

Ich bezweifle, dass wir in absehbarer Zeit echte neue Funktionen oder ein neues Update auf V3.x erhalten werden, da es sich bei der Hardware-Version V2.E03.00.39.03 um die globale e-Platform 3.0-Infotainment- und Cockpit-Hardwarearchitektur der ersten Generation handelt, die auf der Sofwareseite auf der Cockpit-Software DiLink 4.0(4G) basiert.
Die neuere Platform ist die e-Plattform 3.0 Evo / DiLink 5.0(5G)-Architektur, die meines Wissens nach in den Modellen Sealion 7 und Atto 3 Evo zum Einsatz kommt.
Ob die Facelift Version vom BYD Seal U DM-i diese Plattform benutzt, kann ich nicht sagen, aber ich würde annehmen, das es Sinn macht alle aktuellen Modelle auf diese Plattform anzuheben.
Vielleicht ist das auch eine strategische Entscheidung weil ich gehört habe, das sie jetzt Google Anwendungen innerhalb einer isolierten Umgebung benutzen, um mehr Anwendungen anzubieten als sie in ihrem eigenen BYD Shop haben.
